A couple of portraits of Uday from yesterday:

The background color is just perfect for the subject! Judging by the lightning I imagine this is studio work. So did you chose the color on propose? Looking at this photo got me thinking if there is a way of having lots of colors for the background without having to actually buy all of them. Would a projector or something work?

This was my first session getting hands on with studio lights. Lighting is as follows:

1 - 3x2 softbox, camera left, at the subject. Grid spot on the far right, acting as a slash light and flagged from the lens.

2 - 3x2 softbox, above the camera. Grid spot behind the subject, acting as a rim light, reflector (well a piece of card) under the camera to fill the shadows a bit

We were practicing on 4 models, with 4 different backgrounds and this colour was just right for the scarf and subject.

I suppose you could always gel the flash/strobe and colour a plain white background that way.

I like these images. I am not a trained art critic, but I seem to really enjoy seeing your images, Thanks for sharing!
