Just wondering if anyone is using a remote cord on your FZ150?

If so, are you using the Panasonic OEM for $60 or are you using the Vello for $10?

Any difference between OEM and 3rd Party (other than about $50 +/-)??

Thank you :)

Hi Neal, you may have more luck browsing and asking on the FZ150 sticky thread...

Gordon:

Thank you for your reply.

I did do a search and could not find anything related to the shutter release.

I was hoping to get a more direct reply by starting a thread dealing specifically with that topic. :)

I'm considering purchasing the Vello. If I do, maybe I'll write a mini-review.

Have you considered a wireless remote? Some will control time lapse photography.

See this link:
http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_nkw= ... ote&_rdc=1

I now have the Pixel wireless remote with the time lapse capability.

Testing revealed great flexibilty of the Pixel system, however I discovered that my FZ100 would not come out of sleep in the pre-focus stage, it will come out by pressing the shutter button on the camera half way, but not with the equivalent action on the remote shutter input. This means for long time lapses the screen saver timing (2min default)must be disabled and if the lapse time is 10 minute or longer the sleep function must be disabled. A design feature of the camera. I presume the FZ150 is the same.
