So these are the two bags Im torn between.

The Pro Runner is a backpack and will store my gear plus any future lenses and flashes I will buy (I plan on having 4 lenses altogether) And it seems like a really nice balanced bag that wont be a pain to take with me around town and on long walks.

The Slingshot however will still fit my future gear but I will have to settle for 3 lenses and it will be full by the time I get my next lens and flashgun. But its a nice quick access bag, the only issue I got with it is since its a single shoulder bag it might get tiresome after a long hike or walk or day.

Having said that, I really want a bag that will store a 7D with a 70-200mm lens attached plus the 15-85mm a 50mm a 100mm 2.8 IS and a 580 flash with all my cokin filters etc. It seems the pro runner will fit all that plus more if I decide to expand. But the slingshot seems really good just because itsreally fast access, but just HOW fast. I Just want to have access to my 70-200 all the time plus have a nice bag to liw down and change lenses.

What do you guys think? What are your preffernces?

Both are great bags, I can vouch for Lowepro. Considering you're walking around with some pretty heavy kit I'd recommend the Slingshot 302 AW or the Pro Runner 350 AW. Both have a padded waist belt which allows you to transfer the weight from your shoulders/back to your hips which can take much more weight, making it much more comfortable to wear. With the Pro Runner 350 AW you'll get some extra room for a laptop or some magazines,..., too.

Did you take a look at the Fastpack 350?
At the moment I'm looking for a new bag and this one is my favorized one.
(5 lenses from 50mm 1.8 up to 100-400mm IS USM, camera + grip, two flash guns)
It is a "two shoulder bag" but it works similar to the Slingshot.

I like the weather resistance but it's more expensive and it looks like the... well... "little front bag" is missing.

Thanks for the responses guys - I should have listened to my own advice I give to new members, TRY IT OUT IN STORE!!!

I tried the fast pack and it fits my stuff but offers less "padded" room than the 302 (and its more expensive)

I tried th 302 but it felt really odd on my back since its on an angle, and even though it offered more padded space, if I bought more gear (say a battery grip) Id have to get another bag or, get a really tight fit.

so I went with the Pro runner 300. the most expensive, coming in at $179 Australian at Teds, but it fits everything and I have space for a grip and maybe another lens and so much other bits of storage space, and I didnt realise there was a front pocket LOL, jsut saw it now.

Anyway, thanks for the recomendation of the fast pack, it was just as expensive as the pro runner, but I didnt need that extra space at the top, just not enough padding to hold things in place, so things move around too much up there. Im kinda all for camera bags that have some serious padding - Im too paranoid, I work at a school and I got crash tacled by some kids and I landed on my backpack, and I was glad I invested in Lowepro in my first bag. So when I checked my gear, the only thing that got damaged was my business cards and it was like nothing happned to my gear. If I had a fast pack, Im pretty sure the top section would have collapsed onto whatever I had in there.

Well, living in Sydney I would have been spoilt for choice.

The only issue is, I moved to a town called Queanbeyan for work, and about 20 kilometers away is Canberra, and it only has 1 camera store (split into two locations)

It was the only Pro runner they had left - so I felt lucky, but the down side was, its hard to get them to price match anything since the only other competitors are general retailers who dont normally shift their prices much so I did spend a little bit more than if I did buy it online etc.

To be honest Id have been happy with any of the recomendations you guys gave me, the only thing is, I spent maybe 5 dollars on petrol, 4 dollars parking, 5 bucks on food while I was there and maybe 30 bucks more on the bag but with that extra cost, came the ability to pick and choose.

So maybe there are pros and cons to online and shopping in camera stores
