Bad call today on a nature shoot. I've been trying to find some places here in El Paso TX and found the Rio Bosque Wetlands just a few miles from me. In reading the website it says from now until early spring as the waters start to fill that this is the time for hawks. It "WAS" a nice day when my wife and I decided to go check it out, this is what we ultimately found (all with my Sigma 70-300):

We did stick it out and got a few Harris Hawk shots and a bunch of small birds and missed a shot of some ducks that spooked before I saw them. Looks like it is time to pick the bird tree
