Happy New Year !

Im Lee from So California. I recently received my first DSLR for my birthday, a T3i. I learned more from Gordons tutorials than from reading the owners manual for over 2 hours. I have since viewed the videos multiple times and learn a little more each time. Im amazed with the level and detail of content you provide on this site for free. I recently had the opportunity to use 2 of the techniques instructed on tutorial section of this site as my son was practicing at a Kart Track, my family was impressed with the photos taken, although not perfectly executed, I even suprised myself.

I will likely acquire some accessories for my new camera and intend on using the links within this site. I also have stated following Gordon on Twitter, donated to his coffee account and joined this forum. I only hope if your ever in Southern California I could buy you a coffee in person, seriously !

Looking forward to continued learning and improving my skills.

Happy new year Lee & welcome on board.

Gordon's tutorials are great & I know what you mean about reading the camera manuals, they give you the info, but you still need plenty of practice to understand the settings/features.

Don;t be shy about asking for tips on here, the more experienced posters are very helpful.

Looking forward to your participation & seeing some of your pics.
