I hope I can do it justice! Shallow DoF isn't my main thing... but I do want to explore outside my comfort zone. And for some lenses I think I've been losing out on their potential by only having crop sensors so far. Just hope the delivery is on time (Saturday) so I have time to play on the weekend.

With the 5D classic the disadvantages outweighed the advantages, so the 5D2 should address that nicely. I noticed the price on amazon has gone up again, so just as well I got in when I did.

I treated myself to a Fuji X100 today :D
It now sits dwarfed next to my D700 waiting for the battery to charge and to update the firmware. Not made any shots with it yet.

Congratulations, Schultze!

A couple of local professional photographers of my acquaintance love their X100 cameras for carrying when out and about. This is a really good little camera. I keep hoping for a variant to be introduced with a bit longer lens, such as a 35mm, but eventually may settle for the existing model.

Bought myself a new smartphone (got it for renewing my phone service). Dualcore, nice amoled+ screen, and a promised update to android ICS (4.0).

Already installed "Photo tools" on it, which is a nice photographer's assistant. I might buy myself an eye-fi card to go with it though.

Any recommendations for android apps (photo related, of course).

I've used the x100 for two days now with the family and it really puts a smile on my face, although there are some downsides to. Somewhere this week I'll put up a little review.

I got this last Friday:

Image

What you see:
- Leica M9-P
- Summilux-M 50mm
- Brown leather shoulder strap
- UV filter for protection (Leica glass as well)

And I also got an extra battery. Leica was kind enough to give me an SD-card and a microfiber cleaning cloth, all in a wonderful Leica bag. I'll have more pictures for y'all soon!
