Indeed
Munich is about 250km to the east and 100km to the south from where I live. Next time you should come to Heidelberg or so

The typical things you get on a "Weihnachtsmarkt". Next to crêpe (originally from France).

For these kind of trips, I go where work sends me. Previously that included a quick trip into Berlin and Mainz.

I first tried a bratwurst at such a market in the airport itself. The Glühwein I had to offset the snow that started falling when I was in the market at Marienplatz.

Ok, I did revert to the duck shot today.

Geese were being friendly too. I tried to hug one but it decided against it and walked off. Got my hands on each side of it but there's nothing to grip! So fluffy...

Correct! I was rearranging the gfx cards in various computers last night in preparation to a processing challenge I'm taking part in next week. There's always odd compatibility issues and I also had to consider power requirements but I finally found a workable combination...

Playing with bokeh balls... from a compact camera - and not a crop either!

A bit abstract, but it's actually condensation inside the 100-400L. Again. I was using it in the rain today, preferring to risk it to get the extra reach over the 70-300L. Drying out nicely now. The 5D2 also got a soaking and it never left the bag! I shouldn't have used the outer pocket of my camera bag to hold my foldable umbrella, as water from it just soaked right through.

Went for a rather moist walk on Dartmoor today. Here's some random people on top of a tor or something. I used to know what they were all called, but that was such a long time ago...

Excellent images, popo! Today is first time I have looked in detail through your Decemberfest posts.

Geese, even if tame, tend to dislike being hugged. One of the several reasons I wish to live on rural acreage, someday, is so I can have geese about the house again.
