Hey guys,

Just a quick question - Im in the market to add to my Film camera range since my film gear is long in the tooth (I still use the kit lenses I got when I was a kid)

I was ebaying and saw a Pentax K1000 and Im thinking of getting it - but not sure if the lenses would fit my body and my lenses would fit the new body

Also, saw a Canon EOS 300 film SLR with a macro lens and a standard kit zoom. Will those lenses fit my pentax?

Lenses for the Pentax I own are below in my sig
Lenses for the Pentax K1000 is a 50 f/2 and a 70-200 f/4
Lenses for the Canon is 28-90

What do you guys think? Im kinda ready to jump on one of them, but just dont want to get into a position where Im stuck with 2 film ranges and 2 digital ranges lol.

1) Olympus OM1 [Zuiko Auto-S 50mm f/1.8]
2) Pentax MZ-60 [Sigma 28-90 & 100-300]
3) Canon 7D [EF-S 15-85 & 70-200mm f/4 IS & 50mm f1.4]
4) Leica M [50mm Summicron Pre-aspherical - Silver]

Pentax ist using the K mount since 1975 - so the K 1000's lenses should fit the newer body. Not sure about new lenses on the old body. They *should* fit but I don't know what changes were made over time.

Canon EOS 500D + Canon EOS 5D Mark III + Canon EOS 33v
Canon EF 28-80mm 3.5-5.6 USM + EF 24-105mm 4L IS USM + EF 100-400mm 4.5-5.6L IS USM + EF 50mm 1.8 II + EF 100mm 2.8L Macro IS USM + Sigma 12-24mm 4.5-5.6 EX DG HSM + Canon Speedlite 580 EX II + Nissin Speedlite Di 466

The EOS 300 uses the EF lens mount so the lenses you can use on the EOS 300 can be used on your 7D though not necessarily vice versa as EF-S lenses won't work on the 300.

I'd imagine you can use the Canon lenses on the Pentax but you would almost certainly need an adapter and you'll probably lose the AF.

DSLRs: Canon EOS 7D Mark II, Canon EOS 70D
CSC: Canon EOS M3
Lenses: Canon EF-S 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM, EF 50mm f/1.8 II, EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM, Canon EF-M 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM, Canon EF-M 22mm f/2.0 STM
