Well, I might not be known as an avid street-photog, but I can rise my cam as fast as anybody when I see a "scene".
Found those three near the Rialto bridge engaged in some cheerful exchange. They looked like friends...

Friends 33267 by Thomas, on Flickr
Shot with Nikon 24-70/2.8G at 55mm, F5.6, 1/60 sec, ISO 250.

I had to crop quite a bit so you ask why I just didn't zoom in to 70mm? It was just "raise and shoot", no time for fiddling with the controls...
Hope you like it!

Nice shot Thomas. And I love the scene.

I just clicked this new thread, took a look at the people and thought: "Uha, they look like typical Germans." Then I saw "Thomas".
Yeah... it's quite funny. I don't really know what it is but often you can just see where people are from... they just look different.

Great shot! ;)

I like the patterns that the b/w images bring out. The black line in the background the two straps on the man’s and woman’s shoulders and the woman’s hands creating an up to down flow. It’s a very nice composition indeed. I try to find such patterns but one has to have a trained eye to see them even though those are everywhere.

I don't know, where those three were from, Jiko!
Maybe you're right, maybe not...
