Lovin the DECEMBERFEST thats building up here Jiko. You find great images places I would never think of looking. The last one is the perfect example of what I mean. How did you get to think that the bottom of your dogs paw would be worth photographing!!!! Brilliant. I wish I could think so laterally.

So how is your Decemberfest going? We are now just crossing the 1/3 mark!!

Actually it's a cat and no dog :) https://picasaweb.google.com/1043396838 ... 2645813010
Well - the long story about this shot is just that I got back my flashgun I gave to a friend last week and when I came back into my livingroom my cat was sitting on the heating (got a bit colder the last few days) - Having my flash I just got my camera and my umbrella and started shooting. After a while that little guy stretched his paws and I shot :D

Acceptable. The last few days were quite hard - the lighting outside was rather bad and both the camera and the lens have their limits. The camera needs quite some time to start up, can't take RAW and jpeg at the same time and the ISO performance is not as good as I'm used from my 500D. Although it has less than half the pixels on the same sensor size. So I can say now: More pixels don't mean worse noise. :D
Having the equivalent focal length of 80mm I don't really have a wide angle nor do I have a real tele. I still want some "wildlife" - even if it's just a duck. But the 50mm lens really is a bit short for that and with 6MP I can't crop too much.
Until now it worked (using some "sunset dummy shots") - let's see how the next third of this month works. Tomorrow shouldn't be a problem - it's my sister's birthday and I'll have my camera with me.

You see that noise? ISO 400! I'm looking forward to the end of the month. Although the difference in lenses is bigger, you can see a difference if there are some generations between new and old cameras.

OK... trying some HRD work for this month's assignment. Not really happy, yet. Again: Can you see that noise in the sky? My 500D's shots look much cleaner under the same conditions.

The Castle looks good, man I haven't been there since 1996. I worked across the river from the Castle in Wurzburg for 3-years

Uh nice - it's really not so far from here. I have seen the castle many times but I can't remember having been up there...

Yeah, I know in the past I posted a picture like that yet. So as the idea is a bit older and this is about a copy of one of my older shots I gave it the old look.
