Ok, right off I know this isn't going to win any awards, but it was curious enough a subject it was the only thing I fancied a photo of today. This is a... "Bollywood Bad Boy Burger". Tasty, even if not your conventional burger!

To recap, my nominated camera is the HX9V. I have much more interesting things planned but that wont be until next week... :)

Shortly after sunrise...

Annoyingly, there was a much nicer shot I could have got. I passed a misty field on the way in to work, but it's on a main road and nowhere to stop there...

Well done popo. You got a second day's pic. Know your frustration though. Nothing for me all day, even if I had the opportunity. Then, on the way home from further north, a huge flock of starlings started to do its thing. Couldn't stop. I was on that M6 again! Sadly, nothing from me today.

I think this is the one I like most from today. Was quite a variety, taking in landscapes, wildlife and astrophotography.

Interesting astro shot. But what do we actually see there?

The red patch to the top left is the flame nebula, and the bigger one in the middle is the horsehead nebula. The star in between is one of the ones on Orion's belt although I can never remember the name.

That money looks so old  It's hard to find so many old-looking coins of a currency that's just about ten years old

Old or not, thanks to the exchange rates they're worth more now than when I got them :) However I'm not sure I'm going to get far with 50 euro for 4 days so I'll have to get some more later at some horrible exchange rate :(

I should come to the UK for buying my next pieces of equipment :D
50€... well... I could survive with it for 4 days. But surviving isn't everything :D

6th - somewhere over mainland Europe. I got the seat choice wrong. Thinking Germany was to the south, the morning sun would be in the east so I got a seat on the right. Unfortunately it turned out Germany was as much to the east than south, with the rising sun more south than east. I got the sun in my eyes! So I had to make do with what the reflections gave me.

Image
7th - Hotel Hell. The corridors go on forever.

Image
8th - I wonder who's in this building?... HDR from single compact camera jpeg isn't as much fun as it sounds.

Image
9th - Munich Zoo's aquarium. I have no idea what these are, but they stick out of the ground and go up and down. Scary looking things...

I know I missed the 5th. I don't plan on filling it in. Don't hold your breath for something today either.

No, Germany isn't so far in the south. Maybe southern Germany in comparison to the Shetlands but still the difference isn't too extreme.
Nice shots!

I did go to Munich, which is quite far to the south... much further and I'd end up in Italy again...

I have developed a taste for Bratwurst and Glühwein now...

Some of the loot from my trip...
Glühwein and mug, some chocolates in a nice box, random terrines from some French bloke called Barry, and a gecko that looks kinda like one of my pets. From Bali. And since it was from a trip to Germany, of course I had to use a Zeiss lens :)

However good or bat each shot is, what categories have I done?
Food
Nature (but not quite landscape)
Astrophotography
Macro-ish
Wildlife
External architecture
Internal architecture
Landscape - aerial?
And now... product?

Thought it would be more interesting if I didn't do, say, 31 photos of ducks!
