Camera Labs

Hi it was a beutifull snowy day i wraped my camera in plastic bag and i went out. It was a great day and i got some great shots and i thought i would share them with you.
I am trying to get a show of some of my photos this year so any comments and critisim would be great.
I am going for the artsy fartsy look
ps sorry about the banding on the pics i havent figured out how to conpress it for the internet.

Great shots

I particularly like the last 3 shot of the ducks/geese on the lake in the snow. Loads of atmosphere and stunningly beautiful

I would like to compare them cropped differently though. I would cut out more the empty space at the bottom and have that as the bottom 3rd so that 2/3rds are the great detail you've got. Just doing the crop on my screen the panoramic framing would work perfectly in my opinion

love the effect, the last three in particular. Have to admit I prefer to see the birds in the first two shots in a more natural/normal look.

What effect is that if you don`t mind me asking and what do you use for a compression program, I have not seen banding as bad as that before.

thanks for the comments i cant remember the effects name but its from the old days of film you over expose one slide and blur the other and put them togeather kind of neat some thing i would not do all the time but once in a while . and the program i am using to conpress is and old program called thumbs plus all the way back in the windows days before xp when they did not have the thumbs in the windows i think it is time to up grade here is a pic that has only been conpressed about 60 precent
the duck pictures if you will believe it are modified hdr with some artistice flare

Could you please explain the term “sorry about the banding on the pics”, I have not heard this before.
