Thought I'd start a thread for general chat. If its needed I guess it will live, if its not it will fall off the page and die.

Well I've finally posted my first 4 photos for the first 4 days, sorry for the delay, I've been burning the candle at both ends.

The past few days have been easy to take photos because there has been something to take photos of. Feels like the next few days I'm going to have to put some effort into coming up with a shot to post. Its these days that I'm going to find hard but it will be interesting to see whether that causes me to step up to the plate and be creative or not.

Dubaiphil- Where are you? Come on catch up :P

Is everyone else finding a photo a day easy or not?

No, it's not easy at times and I've already had one blank day. Today is likely to be difficult too but I must say that some of the others have used their imaginations far more than I have. I've already noted that photographs of everyday objects can be quite compelling.

Phil's idea is making us work at it. No bad thing.

Nice to see that you weren't arrested for spying.

With work travels the week ahead should give something extra interesting but its the routine days I'm more worried about.

Has anyone thought about or generated a ticklist of photo's, photo styles or processes they're going to try and include in their DECEMBERFEST thread? I was thinking it might be a good idea to do to help on the days where the camera isn't automatically out and about.

For instance I need to do a hdr or 2 because of the december 'On Assignment'. Thats something I havent done before

I was thinking a stitched panorama would be a good idea to add something to break the look of the 30mm shots.

I scanned through an article on making a macro tube from a Pringles tube and so a macro shot would be a good idea maybe.

I havent taken a long exposure image of traffic like warth man's. I've got a couple of locations I need to explore for that as a possibility.

Xmas decorations havent gone up yet so those are still to come.

Bouldering with some friends at Gordon's spare bedroom climbing wall tomorrow so that should produce image number #6

No
There are days I can find more than just one nice scene but these days aren't of those. Until now I hoped to get a shot somewhere but then I startet thinking of what I could shoot in the end of the day - just in order to have a picture. At least it helps getting creative.

Am in Germany now... took over 130 shots on the compact up to now. Might be a delay before I get round to posting them.

Where in Germany are you? ;)

OK already done:
- Flower "macro"
- Decoration thing
- erm... don't know how to call it if you take a shot of a shot of a shot through the viewfinder of another camera.
- still life
- erm... finger?
- Street photography

What needs to be done:
- landscape
- wildlife (getting hard at only 50mm - even on a crop frame camera)
- portrait
- sports?
And then it's getting harder...

Didn't I mention it elsewhere? Currently I'm in Munich. Checked out the main Christmas market yesterday. Nothing planned for this evening yet...

Maybe in the end we should go through every thread and list the three pictures we liked best?

Like:

Well done, Mr. X - I especially liked...

1: #23 because of the great quality
2: #11 because bla
3: #14 - don't know why, just a feeling.

Jiko,

Any feedback would be very interesting feedback from my point of view. It would also be a great exercise in giving C&C to look though others photo sets.

I'm loving the whole process that I'm going through. The POTD requirement, the looking at others photos and photo sets and the reviewing of my own photo set.

I'm not sure which I find the most interesting, the individual photos or the set as a whole and what it says about the photographer.

Later today I will post a bunch of photos. Not one for each day, though.
