Hello everyone, my name is Hammy, it a play on my given name and some people call me Hammy or Ham. I figured Hammy is appropriate, haha. A little about me, I am into pretty much anything cars, electronics and oooh women :D

I am not new to forums as I am a member of quite a few auto related forums. I am however, new to DSLR and photography. I had a few point and shoot cameras, phones with 8mp camera, but as we all know they are not that great , LOL. I have recently become interested in looking for a DSLR and ran accross the video's on youtube, sponsored by this site. These reviews and videos are by far superior to anything out there, so I figured I should join this site. As there is a lot of information to be had. As stated I am a total noob to this and have been researching for awhile and hope to learn as much as possible.

I do not currently own a DSLR but am in the market and I have a lead on a gently used Cannon T1i with some accessories, the owner bought it and said it was too much for her to learn so she packed it away in her closet, LOL. She then subsequently bought a Nikon d5100. I know what you are saying, the D5100 is more substantial and advanced. Anyways, I am hoping to get a good price on it.

Sorry for the long intro.

Thank you Mr. Laing, I have been giving out this site's info to all that will listen. I have a few folks in the auto forums (that I belong to) that are pretty advance and into photography, I tell them to come here all the time. hahaha.

Thank you for providing this site. It is far superior to any of the other site's I have visited.

Have a great day.
