has this image changed from a day time shot? There is another post that is titled Burj by night.

Are these 2 compiled images or just one shot?

I'll lock the other copy: "Burj by night".
Btw. Nice capture of this massive building. I think your photo conveys the size pretty well (as fas as this is possible).

great photo!!

What did you use to take this photo??

I am only new to photography and have just purchased a canon camera - hopefully someone can help me here. To take a similar photo on a canon camera what would I need??

I have the 18-75mm / 3.5-5.6 IS USM lens at the moment, its my only one!

I would like to buy another lens to take photos similar to this!

I know its probably not the right forum so I do apologise - but I know people that like this photo will have specific knowledge!!

thanks!!

Thanks

The Burj Khalifa is 828m tall, and I was stood around 250-300m from the base. You'd need wider than 18mm for this shot, possibly 10mm on a crop sensor body. 18mm should be wide enough for most needs though as this is a pretty exceptional example. When you shoot, be sure to leave enough space around the building so that in Photoshop you can distort the image to get a better perspective.
