This is my first post to the forum. This site is so helpful.

I just tried my hand at HDR. Please C&C.

1) A Construction site outside the window, with manual bracketing to get the crane moving effect.




2) The same construction site at dusk.

Hi apk, welcome to the forum. Guess this is a matter of liking HDR or not, I like the delayed shot of the crane.

Two problems stand out in this photo for me. First of all, the photo is over saturated. It gives a playful cartoon feel to it, which I don't feel suits the composition. The second is the inconsistent lighting. The cranes go from dark at the top, to bight at the bottom. I suspect this is due to the "lighting adjustments" slider. I'm also assuming you use photomatix to process.

I agree with the lighting though, maybe can work on the next one. Thanks for ur comments.

I really like the shots, they do look unreal and playfull, but for me that can be the point of any photography. What I really like about them is the way what I assume is a fairly dull scene is turned into something interesting to look at.

Hi guys,
Attempted another HDR of a freeway! The problem was since i reached late there was not much traffic. So instead of getting let down just took alot of shots.

The only way i know how to put photos together (not sure of the technical term) is thru photomatix. And it came out the way i wanted.

Wasn't going for a HDR but well-ahh!! C&C pls!
