Work took me to Ayrshire this week. Pics were taken in/from Dunure, Ayrshire. Ailsa Craig, the cone-shaped island/rock out to sea, is the source of the granite for most, perhaps even all, of the best curling stones in the world. Or at least that's what the Scots claim. And who would argue with them? I'm married to one!

It was always good to see Ailsa Craig from seaward in days gone by because I knew I was almost home.

Thanks crisdean. No, all three pics and the others on flickr were taken from Dunure. Tiny fishing village as was.

The first and third are the best for me. The way you captured the skies did it for me!

Thank you Arthur. I was lucky to be there for those skies and pleased that I was able to get some "keeper" pics.
