I just got a very good deal for Panasonic G2 with 14-42mm. So How does it compares with FZ150 in terms of picture, video quality, color, dePth of field. I saw It has an external microphone jack and firmware can be hacked to record 30+min video record as well!!!! So it meets all my needs. Price for both is $430 from a friend. Zoom is not a prefenrece Here for me. Can any one direct me to the right camera please?

Assuming a) the G2 is in good condition and b) you'd be buying the FZ150 new (i.e. for around $450 or around the same price as the G2), your question is basically moot.

Get the G2 - Mark

The G2 has the better IQ that you're looking for, and the DoF will blow the FZ150 right out of the water. The only disadvantage would be because it's a used product, you wouldn't get a warranty. Other than that, it's an extremely good camera, and the ability to swap lenses is a huge benefit, especially for video.
