Thank you all. It was definitely worth making the early start and proved yet again that in the Lake District area you can never tell what the weather will do next. It can even be different from one valley to the next! I nearly didn't bother going as it was so wet when I opened the door. As it is, the pics were all taken hand-held because I forgot the tripod, probably due to the "Will I - Won't I?" thoughts going through my head.
