And finally: my own Siemens-star target testshot:
Image

Click through to judge the target for yourself in its full-res glory.
The grey disk is 12mm in the centre in close-up (about 1:10!) wide-open at f8.0 (well not much aperture to close on this lens  ). Not bad, if you compare this to the results from my Tamron 200-500mm review here, which also had a 12mm grey centre-disk.

Just wanted to add one of the best shots I did with this lens:

Image
Child 11484 by Thomas, on Flickr

The focus is just a tad infront of the child, making the plane of sharpest focus run through the parents. But at smaller output sizes like here it doesn't really matter.
But sometimes I wish I had the viewfinder-screen of my old Olympus OM-2n back in my camera: MF would be sooo much easier then.

Hmm... donuts... *drool* ok, they're not bad. I like this apart from the part-person on the left edge I find distracting, yet at the same time helps balance the composition.

Yeah, the "Headless Nick"* effect was deliberately included to aid the image's overall air of gloom and desolation.
