On my monitor all pictures look quite bright except for my own picture that looks "normal", not too dark.

I guess i have to adjust my brightness settings of the monitor a bit in windows 7 power options. I am on a laptop so i cannot get it 100% correct anyway. I can correct it in the afternoon maybe.

I knew I forgot to do something this month! Doh! That's two months in a row I've missed now... someone poke me with a sharp stick if it starts looking like a 3rd. No excuses for lack of subjects for October...

I had the shot planned but too much work meant that I wasn't able to get to the spot I wanted at the right time of day :(

And I would have had to walk against and across 3 lanes of fast moving traffic to perch a tripod and camera and me on a 3 ft wide hard shoulder on a blind corner

I'll take it this month though, but a month too late :(

Gawd damn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

I'd have been dead chuffed if just one person had voted for any photo I'd submitted.

I actually voted for Jiko's. I thought the composition was excellent and it really captured a decaying building industry with the weeds in the foreground.

Guess I need to choose the next 'On Assignment' topic. As I'm hoping to skip off to Sri Lanka next month I figured I choose 'TRAVEL' in line with the dictionary definition http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/travel rather than photography of far flung places.
