Thought I'd give in and sign up, but it looks like they're closed to signups... oh well...

Yep, you'll need an invite to join. Or are they not accepting anyone at this moment? I have some invites left if you need one...

Different parts of the site are ambiguously different... some suggest you need an invite, another looks like it's closed to signups.

Facebook finally got compititor? No really! Google plus is so lame, I even cannot find those massive multiplayer online games in Plus, but on Facebook, I can share achievements, fun and gaming experience in Farmville, Sword Girls, and Empire Rising, many many more interesting apps.

Google is tool, but Facebook is for fun and many more.

Indeed. Google+ looks like a "tool" to me, too. Facebook is good for communication with friends. So in that case I found combining them isn't too bad.

That's why I always hated Facebook, the games were just a waste of time. To me, G+ is something usable that isn't overrun by multiplayer games, it's just a simple and easy way to communicate.

Okay, with new feature "events" , i need some feed from the other side...
when you see an event, do you get invite, OR you only see regular post?
Some notifications, or reminder in google calendar?
I just with they stop using flash, it is extremely annoying and takes a lot of performance
