Hi folks,

While processing some calibration frames for my latest astro-photo (this post) I produced this:
    Image
It's actually a map of the vignetting of my Canon EF 85mm f/1.2L USM lens at f/1.2, albeit grossly exaggerated. The blue colour has no relevance to what I was doing but that's what came out and I kind of like the effect. Restful...

Bob.

Hmm... blue... *drool*

It initially reminded me of the film Blue but this has detail...

Is your monitor's white balance set to "warm"? :D

I knew there was something wrong with the Canon 85 F/1.2 ! It produces only blue photos! :) And with vignetting!

Looks like blue, with a slight hint of special steel blue/lagoon in the center.

That's some pretty bad vignetting though....

Absolutely, the lens is rubbish!

Or it could be that I "stretched" the luminance...

Ya I figure most of it will vanish when your histogram doesn't look like a field goal anymore ;)
