Nobody can inspire you like Mother Nature, and we are here for a short time, I wonder how many of us takes the time out just to watch her create her magic, most of the time seems to be early morning or sunset,

Some nice photos there blindasabat.
I like the atmosphere that you captured, the only thing I would say is that the first picture may benefit with cropping top and bottom (loose a lot of the darkness if you see what I mean.).

I was about to ask where you had taken them, then I read Shapwick in the link  . I haven't stopped off there, but I did visit Westhay a few times upto about four years ago and looking at these makes me want to get out there again.

Thanks for posting.

Hi Arthur,
It's only 2 miles from Westhay, they flooded the area a few years ago, I used to go for a walk just to view the wildlife, on one part there must have been over 1,000 duck and I saw otters.
At Westhay did you see the starlings or should I say did you here them, they say there's over 1 million and I believe it, it's deafening.

Yes, a friend of mine goes there regularly and lets me know when the Starlings are about, normally around January/Feb if I remember correctly and yes, it is an amazing sight and sound, but be careful when looking up :D. Although over the past couple of years they seem to be moving down towards Shapwick, so it could be worth a look out there in the new year.

Haven't been out much for the last few years, just a couple of times per year, have not seen any starlings in large groups, and a definite decline in Roe Deer not one this year, unheard of! seen my Barn Owl and king fisher but to slow to get one, (getting old) got a Sparrow Hawk my God was he shifting just a blur, see if I can upload them.
