Btw.: On a 2.7x crop body your 18-55 kit lens will be like 55-150 equivalent. Would be interesting top learn, whether everything works OK through the F-mount adapter.
But I think Nikon is playing for small not wanting people to mount their ugly old DX-zooms, so let's see what the rumored 10-30mm (=18-54mm DX-equivalent, 27-81mm FX-equiv.) looks like, mounted on the body.

It could just be one incentive for Nikon to use such a small sensor: apart from the reuse of existing Nikon lenses as longer tele-zooms/lenses everybody is going to buy some really short and small lenses with/for their new mirrorless. Which in turn means more business than people just buying the body and mounting their F-mount lens-collection 8)

Mirrorless in general is carving out a new market niche, and one that I think the majority of which wont be looking at using big adapted lenses on a small body. It is more a temporary measure while lens system is built up.
