Well I submitted a few photos to the National newspaper here in Dubai and got 4 published last month. I've just received an e-mail telling me I've been voted photographer of the month! :D

Now I have to pick 5 shots and caption them for some more publication!

Woohoo - I had to blow my own trumpet somewhere!

Now, which 5 to pick???

Uh - great! Congratulations!
It's hard finding "just 5" - you got so many more good shots!

well done phil!

I love your photography. You have a lot of pics to choose from. Out of my mind - you have the one with the bridge leading to the sunset, you have a set of the bastakia quarter, there's a funny one with a sign for camel burgers (funny but not photographically awesome)... and more are coming to mind !

Congratulations, Phil! You have so many excellent shots, it shouldn't be a problem finding some nice ones, but narrowing them down to 5 may be difficult! You really deserve this, you're a wonderful photographer.

Well done Phil, I'm afraid I don't read the National very often so didn't see the photos.

Any chance you could post a scan of the article and/or the images that were published.

Be interesting to see the photos you'll be submitting to if possible

Congratulations again and well deserved. Your photos taken here capture well the twinkle in Dubai's eye despite the constant dust and haze causing difficult conditions for photography

thanks ian and jkstacey

It's Gulf News and not the National, ian. I had 4 shots on a half page in August, and now they want 5 more.
