I thought this would be fun (and maybe someone important will see it :D )

so...

I WISH Canon would do a 30mm (50mm equivalent for a crop) with the same specs and price point as the 50mm f/1.8 :)

I want an 18mm version too.

That would be a great set of cheap lenses 18mm, 30mm and 50mm

That's why I love my Nikkor 35mm f/1.8.

I'd like to see a Nikon DX 16 or 18mm prime, the only DX primes that they currently have are the micros, and the 10.5 fisheye. I'd also like to see some new extension tubes from Nikon, a 70-200 f/4, a 300mm f/4 with VR, and a few new bodies (the D400, the D4, D800, etc.).

Both the Nikon and Sony 30mm f/1.8 lenses are about double the price of the Canon 50mm f/1.8. Plus both 30s are crop sensor lenses. So if Canon ever decide to join in I wouldn't expect it to be as cheap as the 50/1.8 nor be FF compatible.

Wish list items?... retire the 28-300L and make a 24-300L. Given all the years gone by they should be able to do better by now. Will go nicely with the 5D3.

A somewhat more affordable 50mm Noctilux would be good, and a 35mm Noctilux (say, f/1.1).
And on a somewhat off-topic note: a MacBook Air 11" with SD-card slot. Want the ultra-small size of the 11", but the convenience of a card slot on the 13" is really tempting.

My wish at the moment is the release of the next generation of Canon cameras. I need a reason to upgrade. The difference between my 500D and the 7D (looking at the image quality, similar image size, similar high ISO performance) isn't big enough to justify the upgrade. Now I bought some great lenses and the 580EX II and now I want a better camera in the not-so-far future.
I just don't like the shutter button of my 500D's battery grip. It has fallen off few weeks ago. Damned.

I wish the 5D Mark III releases sooner.

And I want a laptop with a CF UDMA card slot built in, and that it has a good screen but not super expensive... I wish it's either HP, Samsung or Asus that makes one.

I also wish Canon will make a Mark II 800mm f5.6L IS but slightly lighter and shorter, also f4 would have been nicer

Id like to see the boundaries of lens designs pushed a bit.

For example something like a 14-70mm for full frame, or say a 24-70mm f1.4-f2.8.

And perhaps a new 50mm 1.2L with improved sharpness, the current one is terrible.

Nikon D7000 along with a new lens. Probably a good "anything" type lens. Say a 18-105mm or something... That would be nice to go walk around with. :)

I am wishing for the 5D2's successor to have much-improved ability to focus in low light, and to otherwise "see in the dark" as well as the Nikon D3s. (I have never shot with a D3S; just going by what others have said or written.) One of my local instructors has commented on how well the 5D2 does in low light, but he is waiting for something better in the 5D2's successor, and I have come to share his wish, after experiencing the limitations of my current cameras in low light.

This does not mean I am unwilling to purchase a Nikon digital camera. I am very interested in seeing the D700's successor, and seeing how it performs in low light. If I could afford it, I would buy a D3s now. Going with a Nikon FF, however, would mean the additional expense of Nikkor glass.
