So can the Nex 7 allow for an EXTERNAL viewfinder - yes i know it has one build in- and a means to trigger off camera flash at the same time. Off Camera can be via synch cord or something like Photix Strato, Paul Bulff triggers, or (if they get around to it) Pocketwizards, using Radio Frequency (not opticially or with Infra Red)

It already has a viewfinder built in, so yes

Are you thinking about an off-camera viewfinder? Though I like the idea, I'm sure that the signal needed to make a flash fire off camera is a whole lot more simple than sending out a live video feed to some hot shoe-mounted viewfinder attached to a cord. Maybe someone can make it work with a new cable, would be cool, but until then, you'll have to use the build-in VF.
