SEPTEMBER 1ST - The poll is now open, please vote for your favorite!

Hi everyone! Welcome to August's Assignment!

The theme for this month is "Humor", as suggested by MBrutus2009 who won the June 2011 competition. Be sure to read the whole post for the rules.

In MBrutus2009's own words:
"The theme for August will be humor. We all need a laugh here and there and what better opportunity than a photo? Of course the voting should not be solely based on the comedic value but rather the value of the photo along with the creativity that is used to let the viewer laugh. Think happy this month and have fun with this assignment!

No post process rules needed for this one!

I hope this will bring some smiles and laughs to the forums!"

The rules!

1: You can only submit one image and it MUST be taken during August 2011. Photos taken earlier will be disqualified!

2: All images submitted must be no more than 1024 pixels on their longest side, although you can include a link to a full resolution version if you like. Flickr users must link back to the original version to comply with its latest rules.

As always, please exercise good judgement on what is suitable for the forum. Keep it clean and family-friendly or it'll be removed. See the Forum Rules for guides.

Please include a sentence or two with your photo describing what you were trying to achieve and if there were any particular challenges in doing so like, for example, any special exposure or lighting setup.

We're all enthusiasts here, so it's also great to see what equipment you used and the settings too. So please also include the following:

Camera Model:
Lens and focal length:
Aperture:
Shutter Speed:
Sensitivity:
Post processing:

Submissions will close at midnight GMT on 31st August 2011. The final poll will follow.

Please remember this thread is for submissions only. If you'd like to comment on any of the submissions or ask any questions, please do so in the August 2011 Comments and Questions thread!

Thanks and good luck!

- Bjorn -

NOT a serious entry... so no votes for this please, it breaks all the rules. I haven't a clue what
to offer the forum this month so I'm putting this in just to make someone grin.

My husband keeps getting emails from pouting, voluptuous Eastern European girls
seeking partners in the west. Just for a laugh we send each one a personalised reply. The
photo was 'lifted' from Google Images and we added the text.

Oddly, nobody has ever taken him up on this generous offer!

Outside the Kafka Museum in Prague, there's a fountain with a couple of anatomically correct statues. Here's a board-appropriate photo of one of them.
