I came across this old house. Had to make a quick shot because it was starting to rain heavy. I messed up with my camera settings so it was on ISO800 and It was on the wrong setting. It was on full Manual but I expcted it to be on Aperture and because and i was in a hurry and didnt really check it very good so it was under exposed quite a bit. I managed to rescue 2 stops of exposure in captureNX2.

I hope you like it. I dont make much architecture photos so i am not really good at it. This was just kind of a lucky shot.

Made it with a Nikon D7000 and nikkor 35mm F1.8G prime lens.

Well the top of the gable has been cropped and the foreground between you and the river/canal is of little interest. Compositionally I would have aimed higher to include all of the building, giving is a bit of sky above and not including the pathway in the foreground.

The scene looks a little flat - maybe upping the saturation on the green slightly would help too.

I removed the bit at the bottom with the sidewalk. And i tried to improve the looks of the plants and trees a bit.

The top of the building should have been there, I agree but it isn't.
Nobody is perfect.

Indeed - but check the edges of the frame when shooting.

i think i would be a great shot for a black and whit conversion

I will try to convert it into black & White. Nice project because I just bought a book on digital Black & White photography a few days ago. (I think sepia will look good too).
