Hello , we want to buy a new point and shoot camera. We already have a Canon EOS 400D and a Mini DV videocamera. When we go out, we want to take just one device, therefore, we want to buy a new camera used as a fotocamera and videocamera. We mainly use the camera for taking pictures of my toddler, mostly indoor with relatively little daylight.

Wish list:
• This camera is also used as a videocamera. Therefore, the camera features should be good, full HD, stereo, 1980*1080 etc
• Portrait photography: taking pictures of my toddler
• Use: mostly indoor with relatively little daylight or in the evening. If possible, we do not want to use the flash light
• Image stabilization
• Manual mode is nice to have; no must
• Preferably an ultra-compact, otherwise a compact, max weight (incl batteries) 200 gram
• Budget max USD 350

We have been doing some research on the internet and read a lot of reviews, but there are so many cameras. And we do not have enough knowledge about cameras. Please advice.

Thanks in advance for all your answers.

Off the top of my head the Nikon Coolpix S8100 meets most of those criteria....

CSC: Canon EOS M3

The Canon Powershot S95 is small, light, plenty of features
We use ours a lot, its just so easy to slip in the pocket.
