If Anybody interested in joining Google+ PM me your email and I can send you an invite, first look it's a pretty neat alternative to the bookface.

Thanks to Stefan Howarth a CameraLabs facebook member for inviting me.

UPDATE: I also have spare invites if anyone wants them - please PM your email to Gordon Laing

UPDATE 2: In case Gordon runs out of invites, I have quite some left, let me know if you need one! Bjorn

I've heard of Google Plus, it doesn't seem too exciting to me. Of course, I'm not a Facebook user so I don't really need an alternative.

Been a member for just over a week now and it seems like a good site so far. Not too much going on yet because not that many people I follow are active users (yet). But I like it so far, looking forward to seeing the final service!

I've been a member for a few days. There's not much going on yet, but it's important to try out as many features as possible and leave them as much useful feedback as possible. Who knows? A good feature request early on might just get worked into the project.

Its being slowly injected into your gmail/igoogle, so if you use these there is no hiding from it anyways.

i am really curious if it can compete with facebook. seems to be pretty good, but i don't have time for this or browser games or stuff like that (except maybe sometimes a bit of goalunited 2011 or soccerstar :) ) i think it is a real threat to fb!

I think where it has the edge apart from being much cleaner and annoying app free so far is the fact that it's part of the whole igoogle world and will probably be a standard app on the android platform and chrome OS.

and it's actually very good pulling out feeds based on your interests like photography in the Sparks tab.

it's really interesting how fast it grows - i read that most users come from india (is google the next yoga?!) and the us, but europa is also very strong.

It's like "I'm a Canon user but I could also get a Nikon as well". In this case you don't need money for new lenses but time. Facebook takes enough time.

did you know when you use picassa (and g+) you have limitless space for uploading photos (of certain resolution - which i still dont know) ?

With g+ or without, it has some advantages.

i dont want to look like posthunter, but i found out, that limit for picasa photos is 2 048 x 2 048

-if you upload smaller images, it will not count in your google available space
-but if you upload larger images, it will count in it

Took me four years to gain 400 contacts on Flickr. Took me a week to get 1200 on Google+ thanks to an article on Business Insider and various shout-outs from fellow photographers. I think I might stick to G+ for sharing my work, I like it.
