Grrr... I had the perfect photo from July 30th as well, oh well, I'll try shooting something equally interesting.

I am working on mine! Nothing seems to really make me laugh just yet. I'll see what the next few days bring.

I have one from this month, but it's both motion and focus unsharp

Hi Daisy, that's a funny image, but I should warn you against replying to any spam as it confirms that your email address is real and in current use. It can then be sold onto other spammers for more money. It's hard to resist, buit I'd recommend never replying to a spammer.

This appears to be one of the toughest assignments ever with only a few entries so far, I hope we get more.

You are being too generous Naniani, I would suggest that the thinness of the response this month is an accurate reflection of folks' lack of enthusiasm for a task that was always going to generate contrived images of no great photographic worth; people have simply voted with their feet. There may well be a flush of entries at the very last and it would be good if there were, there is a great deal of loyalty among the gang who regularly contribute but without some proper 'meaty' tasks to get our teeth into, this once excellent monthly competition will wither on the vine.

Heavens .... I sound like one of the contributors to that TV series 'Grumpy Old Men' !

“Individually you can pick holes in any photo you take, that’s the nature of photographers”: Timothy Allen. The same can be said of any comment on the forum.

Yes, this months assignment is difficult but I don't agree it's a lack of enthusiasm, it's a difficult subject to shoot as a natural humorous occasion will be always shooting in a split second at that moment of time.

Yesterday such an occasion occurred while I was shooting surfers in heavy seas and a guy got completely swamped by a large wave over the break wall. At that time my wife was in stitches laughing while I was trying to dry my camera, so no shot. :(

Cheers

I guess this assignment was harder than expected.

I am in but not exactly pleased 100% with it. I thought I could get something a little more comical than that...

I rather liked this month's assignment choice. Gave one the opportunity do something less contrived and light hearted.

Thanks Lensbaby! :)

Should have gone with my second choice though... Lol.

Maybe if I manage to win another later on down the road then I will pick that one. ;)

Just squeezed mine in for the month if it offends anybody I'll remove it, BTW another gem from Lensbaby would have been perfect if it landed on the nose.
