Thanks for being the first to do a detailed review.

I've been waiting to see what the noise levels are like before I take the plunge. Now I've seen your test results, I've got one ordered :D

Hi Chumley, glad to be of service!

While the 400D's noise levels are slightly higher than the 350D at the highest sensitivities, it's barely noticeable in practice. Canon's done a great job of edging up the resolution without compromising noise.

I hope your 400D gets delivered soon - let us know what you think when it arrives, and come back soon for detailed results of how a variety of Canon lenses perform on the 400D.
