Hi folks,

You can read the press release here but this limited edition is more about heart than head I think. Drool worthy or what?

A very welcome sight after having my eyes assaulted in a totally gratuitous and unnecessary way earlier today by this piece of virulence! ;)

No word that I can find on price but your bog standard 645D body costs around $10,000.

Bob.

Haha, it looks like Pentax has FINALLY got this colour thing down, remember the limited edition Bonnie Pink K-r?

It looks like a bunch of colours threw up on it. I mean, for an extra however many few hundred dollars, who would be in their right minds to buy it?

This new 645D design looks nice and elegant.

While it certainly looks nice I think it'll take more than that to get anyone to buy who wasn't going to already.

On that note, I got an e-mail earlier saying one of my fave camera shops were doing 0% credit on much of the Pentax range...

All Pentax cameras are limited editions though aren't they? I've never seen a new one in the flesh for sale for years.

.
 - I was wondering who'd be the first to offer that one. :P

But one could fairly argue that the 645D is little different to any of the other medium format/large sensor digital bodies in that respect.
