Hi Lagnificent, there were some really great entries this month and 3 sttod out for me, my vote was going to Lensbaby a truly beautiful capture. So if it can be added it would be great if that is ok

@jameswilby5 Thanks for the comments, The ND filters really help bring out detail in the clouds and I've just bought some Cokin Grads and a polarizer that I'm starting to use. I try to keep all my exposure and colour tweaks withing Lightroom but after that the only thing I do in Photoshop is apply contrast either globally or by masking the places I think need it. With the horses I used a luminosity Chanel to get the contrast in but you do get similar results playing with the contrast slider on an adjustment layer and you can also create a mask for it.

There is major cropping going on with this image. I have a feeding station in front of a window and capture the birds as they fly toward me..but I shot hundreds of images to get a handful of usable shots. Lots of waiting and waiting.

This was a fun and funny "On Assignment" - so many great shots and for a huge variety of reasons.

My personal "yardstick" for voting this time was based on "which one of these shots would I be most likely to blow up and hang on my wall" and after quite a bit of deliberation, I decided that jkstacey's horsies get my vote this month.

Cheers :-)

LahLahSr for me as it's a free natural animal in the wild. Great shots again this month.

Cheers

The voting is now closed! Please join me in congratulating Lensbaby on winning this assignment. She'll get to choose the theme for July, so look forward to that!

Lensbaby `congratulations` on winning the assignment this month. I loved the photo. Well done. Looking forward to see what you set us for next month.

Thank you very much. Tough competition this month. I have submitted July's subject to Bjorn which I'm sure he will be publishing soon. Hope you like it and participate.

To get all of your creative juices flowing, here's the theme for next month:
"antique-vintage-nostalgia"

More details will follow on the 1st!
