Which one would you choose as a all-around lens (outdoors/indoors) for photos/videos?

The Tamron 17-50mm F/2.8 is sharper & cheaper. That would be the only option I would consider for Canon for video indoors.

You should get a lens with optical stabilization for video

Sorry, i think he already have sigma 17-50 f/2.8. ;)

For video i do wanted zoom lens with IS for flexible. :)

For out/in door still if u got the space to move then prime would be interesting. as it give u better hand-hold speed in low-light.
but u will lose the IS and the flexibility of zoom lens. ;)

The thing is, I'm having second thought about my Sigma 17-50mm. I really like the low light performance of the Sigma 30mm and its DoF, so I'm stuck between this problem: Dof + Low Light performance or Range + IS? :?:
