It would be nice if there was a generic mechanical timer out there. Probably not a huge demand, for any canon camera you can just get the CHDK hack. Most cameras have a remote shutter cable..

I did find this. A little pricey, and out of stock..

Here is a moving water hdr shot I took with my GF2 while mountain biking. main reason I purchased this camera was to get the smallest interchangeable lens camera I could fit in my camelback.
