Can anyone suggest a place to get hold of a Tokina 11-16 without breaking the bank?

I dont mind if it's second hand, a refurb, but ultimately new is best.

Budget of £250, would prefer to buy in the UK and check the lens before buying.

Also, I'd consider Canon's EF-S 10-22 USM.

Where is the best place to go for second hand lenses for a person that wants to to try before he buys?

you can always check ebay for a quick bargain. If the item is in your area you can pick it up. This offers major advantages such as being able to check the item is in good condition, saving on postage costs and you can often get the price down if you pay cash on collection as the seller can avoid ebay fees.

Other than that there are some online second hand lens shops. The ones I have seen have only been for canon and Nikon gear but I am sure there are others if you search around.

Got mine S/H on ebay, think your budget of £250 might be a bit short though.
Ive not seen one that cheap yet though, doesn't mean you wouldn't get lucky though....
