The engineer here is saying thats called a "reverse bow" and it's one of the newest designs taking over the North Sea.
They are excellant for rough weather and fuel economy,look for more of that design all over the oceans in future.
It looks all wrong but apparently it works!
Cool lookin IMO!

kpr's boat needs some work.
How does one move a 43ton 52ft vessel over land?
Why not just pick it up and carry it....

While at the shipyard yesterday I got a little "treat"
Our province's best known representative the Bluenose II is getting a major overhaul.
You may have seen her on the Canadian dime but not looking anything like this...
Wish I could have gone inside further and got more but...not allowed :roll:

I like the way they have a huge Mickey Mouse strapped to the stern of the ship, and the musical rime they do when leaving the harbour.
