I currently use Serif Drawplus SE Pro.

Serif Drawplus SE - free to use
Serif Drawplus SE Pro - costs £9.99 for a few extra tools (same as above)
Serif Drawplus X4 - The professional version of their software

Someone told me that Adobe software is supposedly better, and reccomended Fireworks. I have had a go with the Fireworks trial, and it doesn't seem a fat lot better atall really. Infact, it takes more getting used to, is harder to use, and less self explainatory than Serif.

What do you use?

What are your thoughts?

My final question - Can Fireworks output Vectors directly (EPS)?

I know Illustrator can, and you can import and edit them in Photoshop. And since I think CS3 they have compatibility between all of the software to save and edit in all formats.

To be honest, for editing images i use mostly IrfanView and GIMP.

I make basic setting of my photos in picasa by google. I dont like to photoshop photos.

And i almost forgot, for editing raw photos i use canons bundled software (its picture style editor or digital photo professional, i dunno)

I have found out that Fireworks is for web graphics, and Illustrator is an all round graphics program.

We are talking about graphics here though, not photographs.

And finally we return to Photoshop, maybe it's better to start with it? :)

Other graphics people have suggested Photoshop before, but is it not a program for editing photographs, really?

I use Serif for graphics at the moment.

Mainly web graphics, but it would be nice to be able to produce leaflets and Vectors.
