I been doing some research for good filter my sigma 70-200 F/2.8 OS HSM and 100mmL and for while, now.
So far this 3 are coming on top list:
B+W 77mm MRC (010) UV Filter
Hoya 77mm UV (Ultra Violet) Multi Coated Glass Filter
Hoya 77mm HD Hardened Glass 8-layer Multi-Coated Digital UV (Ultra Violet) Filter

which do everyone think best price/quality? :?:
Here it really hard to find a Pro-filter (Mostly are order).
So it really hard for me to actually see it or hold it.:(

Secondly can the canon 1.4x teleconvter work on the sigma 70-200?
Which do u think it better the sigma ver. or canon on sigma 70-200 ?

Any advice would be welcome. :)
P.S I still love the sigma 70-200 OS HSM. :)

Personally I don't have any experience of B+W as they're not the easiest to get hold of. I do like the Hoya range. See this thread for more details of a test I did in the past.

In short, I'd get Hoya HD if I want high end but it does come at a cost. For a value option, the Hoya HMC UV(0) or UV(C) are great more affordable performers.

For the teleconverter, I'd get the brand which matches the lens you're most likely to use most with it. I'm not sure if anyone has done direct comparisons, but it is possible keeping the same brand on both may offer slightly better compatibility and performance.

I use Hoya HMC and am pretty content.
As to tele-converters I'd be very careful as to what TC fits on which lens - mechanically! I had some bad surprise trying ot fit my Nikon TC 1.7x on any Sigma tele-lens

@popo,Thomas

Thank... :)
I already ask the shop here to ask for the price for 3 of this model. :)
with all the info it look like the Hoya better option... :)
I do wanted the Hoya HD, if the price doesn't cost alot.

For the tele-converters
there are time when i really need an extra reach.

and isaw that the canon have already put out 3 version of there own
compare to sigma only one.

Thank for the input... :)
