Hi,

I'm looking for a website solution for a wedding photographer friend of mine.

Some of the features he'd like to see are:

1) Separate log on area for his clients, to allow them to see their own wedding photographs.

2) The possibilty of being able to sell additional photographs from the website

3) Allow clients to submit testimonies

Is anyone using a similar website? Could you provide URLs?

Thanks

I think Zenfolio is the perfect solution for you: http://www.zenfolio.com/
I do not use it myself, but I am told it is very good, and the sample sites look very professionally.

Hi Thomas,
I really like the look of your site, did you make it yourself or use a builder? If it was the latter, which builder did you use?
Thanks

another couple for you too look at are
photomerchant.net and
zenfolio.com

Both do a pretty good job. All of these sites here and above should have a pricing section to help you decide

My young enterprise company is thinking of getting a website with this company.

http://www.clikpic.com/

They have very good reviews and have won lots of awards. The websites are easy to setup and look professional. Definitely take a look.

Thanks Ranald!

I use a program called iWeb, it comes standard on every mac, and if you're an iphone user you may have heard of a service from apple called Mobile Me, which you can use to host your site.

So all in all it's free for me since I already use mobile me and have a mac. (Aside from the domain name registration)

Thanks Thomas,
I was in fact aware of iWeb, despite being a PC user, but I wasn't aware you could get such excellent sites from it!
Well done, and keep up the good work!
Regards,
Ranald

iWeb whilst a wonderful product has not been standard issue on Macs for a few years now, so I would be wary of using it for anything but the most simple set ups.

I use SmugMug and the way the service is set up means you only have to upload 1 version of you image (the best resolution you have) to then be able to restrict what anyone can see. As well as this you can add watermarks very easily as well as setting up pricing for all manner of products from canvas prints to t-shirts, mugs etc. The service also allows you to set up different levels of user log in as well as password protecting folders of images. The service support is pretty good too with an email response within 24 hours.
