New member from Southern California! I've really enjoyed the Camera Labs reviews over the past couple of years and finally decided to join the forum.

I first experienced film SLR cameras about 30 years ago when my dad let me use his Canon while we were on vacation. I still love that camera.

Had several point and shoot film and then digicams. I bought a Sony a100 when they first came out. Great camera. The in-body image stabilization works very well and is what really drew me to the camera initially.

Fast forward a few years. Looking for a little upgrade. I considered some of the new Alphas but have really wanted a Nikon for a while. Found a great sale on a D3100 two-lens kit at Costco last week and bought it.

Loving the D3100. Still getting use to it, but it's a great camera.

Anyway, that's a little bit about me. Excited to be here and looking forward to participating on the board!
