You don't see the moon this well in the middle of the day very often!

Very nice, I've never tried photographing the moon during the day. That would be interesting.

I presume that this was at 300mm (450mm equivalent)? How much cropping was needed?

I'm using a Canon 100-400 that I rented for 2 weeks. I'll be buying one in the next couple months. So 400mm = 640mm on the T2i. Here is the un-cropped version.

Kev, I was thinking the same about the moon as it's quite visible also downunder. I did not think a shot would be that good in the day, may even try it if it's still around and 300mm is my max FL.

Thanks, I was on the river at the time and I sat there for about an hour hoping a plane, a duck, or anything would fly in front of it....oh well maybe next time
