I foolishly subscribed because I thought it would be officially from Nikon. However after the first video I knew it wasn't the case and unsubscribed. He is in serious trouble as he claims to be the Nikon Support Hotline.

Let this Nikon know and I'm sure he finds himself in deep sheeet.

I'm sure Nikon knows about his YouTube channel and I'm pretty sure they don't care. Many beginners don't recognize the poor quality of his videos but do notice Joseph is passionate about Nikon. Many of his viewers looking to buy a DSLR will buy a Nikon camera because of his videos. And of course, Nikon has no problems with that at all...

Normally I despise corporate legal crackdowns upon mere individuals on trademarks and such, but I'd definitely want to see this guy get sued out of existence by Nat'l Geographic and Nikon.

I assume the latter won't raise an eyebrow - publicity is publicity after all. I still have hope for the former, though.

I found your forum searching for
Lilkiwiguy87
actualy i thought i can rely on his information. Now, after reading this thread, i doubt he is serious.
I have asked him a question about tokina 11-16 for nikon. Thats his answer

Quote:
Paul,

No, it is a awful lens. Ken Rockwell is doing this just for fun, so, take his website with grain of salt.

Please read this link very carefully: http://www.kenrockwell.com/about.htm

Good luck.

Was thinking if he isnt supported by anyone, he may make reliable reviews of lenses, didnt think that he may fool people just for fun. Still im not sure that he is all wrong about lenses.
Internet, trust no one... (even yourself)

I feel so sorry for this kid... I mean he is deaf! But he is rich, immature, stupid and a compulsive liar. You get the point, the disadvantages out weights the advantages so the feeling diminishes :D.

This guy is just so lucky that he got the silver spoon the day he was born. Just think what this kid would be like if his parents were poor? We wouldn't be discussing this situation, right :)?

Shame on him for pouring stuff on the D3 :(. Instead of torturing your camera why not give it to someone else? Or maybe donate the money to a charity for deaf people? Personally, I HATE HATE HATE rich people who doesn't care about everyone else because they got lots money.

Hello Paul, and welcome to the friendly Camera Labs forum!
To enjoy your stay here please have a look at the house-rules!

Yes, all kind of information on the internet have to be looked at with caution. I once even found a wrong optical formula on Wikipedia. So it's always good to get a second opinion and/or know whom to trust.

I use a RED EPIC as a webcam.

Kidding

Ps: apparently I'm blocked from his channel. This guy needs an ego pill ASAP. You can't even rate the video.

It's so lame it's sad to be honest.

I subscribed to his channel a about a year ago, during which time I watched very little of his videos. So about a month ago I posted a comment regarding a particular movie of his saying 'the movies are good but I find the music really distracting' THE GUY BLOCKED ME :/ and he won't answer any of my PMs as to the reason why.

I also noticed he seems to have a very arrogant and condescending tone when answering viewers questions, anybody else noticed this?

nah, the only thing I know about him is that he's a dickhead

He blocks people when they criticize about something small on his videos.

I've been blocked and unblocked by him so many times, because I acted like I was his best friend at first and stuff. The kid is a disgrace to anyone who has any humility.

I spent about a week talking with him on AOL-Instant messenger, and I cannot stress enough how dumb, arrogant and egotistical this guy is.

End.
