What would you guys recommend as a good close up lens for a nikon d5000 for a reasonable price?

i've got a 18-200mm lens but need something for taking photos of insects, flowers etc

the nikkor 60mm macro would be your cheapest nikon option, but there are good macro lenses from sigma and tamron also which would be cheaper depending on focal length.
Although if you want to shoot insects, 60mm probably isn't enough working distance at 1:1, something around 100-150mm focal length should be good.
