 Post subject: Good telephoto

Hi, a friend has a 18-55 IS kit lens and a Canon Rebel T1i.

She wants more zoom so I don't know what do suggest. Here's what I though:


Sigma APO 70-200mm F2.8 EX DG OS HSM
Canon 15-85 IS



What do you suggest ?

That's a quite expensive combination! You'd better look at the older (non-stabalised) 70-200 2,8 HSM II and the Sigma 17-50 2,8 or 17-70 2,8-4.

I don't know how advanced she is, but if she's just starting out I'd recommend something like a 55-250/70-300 IS. Cheaper, easier to use, and lighter than a 70-200.
