Anyone fancy a peek at a new 1 bedroom apartment in Dubai? I was asked to shoot a few photos for some 360 degree panoramas, and uploaded them to test the tour.

Unfortunately I've forgotten to put a hotspot on the living room door from the balcony, but I'm sure you'll get the hang of it!

This little apartment is up for annual rent at 140,000AED furnished - that's 26,000GBP - ouch! Nice view of Atlantis though for New Year's Eve fireworks!

Looks like you should be getting lots of work, as I can’t help but notice that Dubai looks to be devoid of people and full of empty buildings, boatless marinas and what have you.
The economic news-wires aren't very optimistic either.

There aren't any real estate companies here using virtual tours to market properties, so there's quite a market out there to get a piece of, especially in this day and age. Lots of existing companies don't even use the right photos for the right property (which I've learnt to my expense with lots of wasted time as I'm about to move onto the Palm)!

It was a lot of hard work learning the ropes, with lots of trial and error both with software and hardware, so it was a bit gutting to find a course that is being run in March as part of an annual seminar showing the ropes on everything 360 panorama! I don't think it will be particularly well subscribed though. I'm already in with a real estate agency (who has bought the virtual tour hosting and embedding software) so I've got a massive headstart.

Some nice shots and a very posh apartment. Just one thing, when you pan down in every room you can see the panorama adapter used (a circle in the middle of the floor which looks like a mirrored table) maybe worth PP this out of the shot.

Hi keystrokesuk.

The mirror ball you see is a photoshop custom action, to hide the tripod legs and head while taking the panorama.

There are 2 x shots taken straight down, 180 degrees apart, which takes care of the pano head, but you still see the legs and centre of the mount.

This action gets rid of that, but when handing over the completed tours to my client I use a customised logo instead (but I didn't want to advertise the client's name on here, hence the mirrorball version)

Fair enough it is part of the process, I am amazed with so many reflective surfaces that this is the only place where the equipment/process used to take the shots actually becomes part of them.
