I decided to do a little project where I took pictures of my journey to work each day. I done all of these using my mobile phone camera, Nokia N86 if you are interested.

Not surprised you hate commuting when you spend 4 hours of your life five days a week doing it. I did the commute into Central London for over 15 years before I had enough of it.

At least you have found a way to make it a bit less dull and incorporate your photographic interest into the commute.

Good concept Al, I like it. Not to sure about the weather though, it's been a long time since I lived in scouse land up north. Took a few beach and surfer shots this week, thought I'd post some to warm you up and remind you summer is around the corner except I don't think they are good enough to post, they show the sun but not the 30 degree + days we're getting now. :D

Cheers

Hi Al,
Nice idea you had there. I just finished going through the pictures. I cannot believe how quiet the train looked at 7.15. I would love to take pics of commuters when i have been on the train, but worry in case they get angry or mad if you try to take a picture, at least a mobile is less obvious. Personally feel you should have made use of the bikes (only joking) or did you worry there would be no bike parking spaces left at the end of the journey.
Your building looks interesting with the lifts of the outside. Must look out for it when if i go back to take some more shots of the wonderful Gherkin building.
Once again Al nice concept.
Sue

Thanks guys, yeah it was fun to do. I have to say that train is normally packed out with people standing everywhere and the underground Waterloo and City line when I do use it is really busy.

It is an amazing looking building and a building and structures photographers dream!

These are not my photos as I never really got round to taking pics of the building, but they are available on Flickr - http://www.flickr.com/photos/purplecloud/1393589028/in/set-72057594137548033/lightbox/
